2010 Masomo Scholarships Awarded
5 students have been awarded Ksh. 10,000 Scholarships each for the year 2010. Two of the students are orphans who come from single parent homes under custody of their aging grandmothers. The other three come from poor families whose parents have difficulties providing daily necessities of life leave alone education. Three of the students are in Primary School; the other two are in Secondary School.
A total of $2,532 was raised from the 2009 Education Fundraising Dinner aimed to provide scholarships to under privileged children. The under privileged children include orphaned children and those from select poverty stricken communities whose families cannot afford to pay for formal primary and secondary education.
