KCA ACHIEVEMENTS

In keeping with the association’s philosophy, KCA has been engaged in both local and international outreach activities.

In 2006, the association organized a fund drive to help with the famine in drought stricken areas of Kenya. A total of $2,000 dollars was collected and sent to Kenya through “save a life fund” based in Nairobi. These funds were used to facilitate some feeding programs.
Locally, on several occasions, KCA raises small funds within the organization to help defray costs for Kenyans and friends who are confronted with sudden unforeseen misfortunes and challenges.

Members of the association have on numerous occasions volunteered for local community activities that help local non-profit organizations.

Two times a year, KCA organizes a cookout at the park to provide an opportunity for students and families of Kenyan descent to meet and interact.
